holy week begins with palm sunday

Palm branches waving, children leading the way, and a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt during Sunday School — Palm Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Cranford is anything but quiet!

At the beginning of worship, children are invited to take part in a Palm Procession, waving palm branches and helping the congregation remember Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem.

Following the children’s message, kids head to Sunday School, where the morning continues  with a glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt built right into the Sunday School experience.

The egg hunt isn’t a separate event. It’s part of the morning’s Sunday School time and designed to connect the fun of the season with the story of Easter that children are exploring together.

For families looking for a place where children are welcomed, engaged, and encouraged to be part of the life of worship, it’s a wonderful way to begin the Easter season.

After the kids exit the Sanctuary for Sunday School (Pre-K to 5th grade), our Thomson Youth Center will be transformed into a glowing wonderland of Easter eggs! Kids can wear white or fluorescent colors for some extra color pop under the UV lights!

Parents - there is no candy involved - just prizes for collecting eggs!  A bag will be provided.

Please note that this event is part of the morning's Sunday School class and is not intended as a standalone event.
